The preparation and implementation of Disaster Management Plans the National Emergency are enabled by data collection, storing sharing. required can be specified as environment- disaster-related relevant to Sendai Framework Rio Conventions. A case study was carried out in district Badulla, which has recorded highest number disaster events Sri Lanka, order explore gaps information management, with ultimate objective ensuring a disaster-minimised district. revealed that there shortcomings storage sharing, important for fulfilling requirements four pillars i.e., mitigation–minimising effects disaster, preparedness–planning on how respond, response–efforts minimise hazards created disaster; recovery–returning community normal.
